Restore BigQuery Dataset is a new method that restores a BigQuery dataset snapshot to a destination dataset.

Updated: Backup policy types and resource selectors

Several new backup policy types and resource selector fields are now available across the backup policies API:

• New policy types: AWS_NATIVE_PITR, BIGQUERY_NATIVE_PITR, and NATIVE_STANDARD.

• AWS_RDS is now supported as a resource type in high-frequency backup plans.

• An optional globalClusterIdentifier property is now available in the resource selector expression for filtering and targeting Aurora global clusters.

These changes are available in Create Backup Policy, Update Backup Policy, Get Backup Policy, and List Backup Policies.

Updated: GCP VM instance in restore job responses

Restore job responses now include a gcpVmInstance property in the restore result object, providing details about the restored GCP Compute Engine VM instance. This property is available in List Restore Jobs and Get Restore Job.

Updated: RDS restore preserves instance names

Restore RDS Instance now accepts an optional preserveInstanceNames property in destination.awsRds, allowing you to preserve the original DB instance identifier during the restore operation.

Updated: Sort fields for account lists

New sort fields are available when listing source and restore accounts:

• installedVersion is now a valid sort field in List Source Accounts and List Restore Accounts.

• parentIdentifier is now a valid sort field in List Source Accounts.
