Work with Dashboards (Viewers)
Who can use this feature
Anyone with these permissions: View dashboard panels, View dashboard panels
Once your account has several dashboards, you can open the one you need, make your most-checked one open automatically, reload its data, and keep a copy outside the console.
This article explains how to switch between dashboards, set one as your default, refresh a dashboard’s data, and download a copy. To build, edit, share, or delete a dashboard, see Manage Dashboards.
Switch dashboards
You can switch dashboards from the Dashboard page in the Eon console.
The dashboard selection menu groups dashboards under these labels:
-
Eon: The built-in Eon overview dashboard.
-
Your dashboards: Dashboards you own, if you’ve built any. To build one, see Manage Dashboards.
-
Shared with you: Dashboards that other people in your Eon account have shared with you.
-
Click the arrow next to the dashboard’s name to open the dashboard selection menu.
-
Click a dashboard to open it.
A dashboard shows only the data your role can access, so your numbers can differ from a teammate’s. For details, see Role-based data access.
Set your default dashboard
To have a dashboard open automatically, set it as your default.
-
Click the arrow next to the dashboard’s name to open the dashboard selection menu.
-
On the row of the dashboard you want, click the (Actions) menu, then click Set as default.
The default is yours alone, so it changes nothing for anyone else. Dashboard links are persistent, so you can use your browser bookmarks to open them instead of your default dashboard. If the dashboard you set as your default is deleted, Eon overview opens again.
Refresh a dashboard’s data
Data is loaded when you open the dashboard and when you manually refresh.
On a dashboard built with AI Assistant, click Refresh data in the dashboard toolbar to reload it.
Download a dashboard PDF or HTML
To keep a copy outside the console, download the dashboard.
-
Open the dashboard you want to download.
-
Click Download as, then choose PDF or HTML.
Follow your browser’s prompts to save or print the dashboard.
