Add the Eon Agent for Gemini Enterprise

Who can use this feature

Anyone with these permissions: Manage AI agent apps

This article explains how to add the Eon AI agent as a custom A2A agent in Google Gemini Enterprise.

Add the Eon agent for Gemini Enterprise

You’ll find the AI agents configuration in your global management console in Eon. Keep this page open because you’ll need to copy the agent card and credentials to Google Cloud in the next steps.

Before you start

Before you start, make sure:

  • You have a Google Cloud project with Gemini Enterprise.

  • The Discovery Engine API is enabled in your Google Cloud project.

  • You’re logged in with permissions to manage agents in your Google Cloud project.

  • You have a Gemini Enterprise app in Google Cloud. To create one, see Create a Gemini Enterprise app in the Google Cloud documentation.

1

Generate the agent card and credentials in Eon

On the AI Agents page, find Gemini Enterprise and click Connect. The Gemini Enterprise details dialog opens with the agent card and credentials you’ll need.

The client secret is shown only once. Don’t close this dialog until you’ve copied the values below.

Keep the dialog open. You’ll copy the generated values to your agent app in Google Cloud in the next step.

2

Register the agent in Google Cloud

In a new tab, go to Gemini Enterprise in the Google Cloud console, and open your Gemini Enterprise app.

  1. In the left menu, click Agents.

  2. Click Add agent to open the Add an agent panel. Find Custom agent via A2A, then click Add. A two-step configuration Add agent wizard opens.

  3. In step 1 (Import agent), paste the A2A agent card from Eon. Click Preview Agent Details to review the provided information. Then scroll to the bottom of the panel and click Next.

  4. In step 2 (Agent authorization)), paste the corresponding fields from Eon.

  5. Click Finish.

The Eon AI agent is now available to users in your Gemini Enterprise app. You can ask the agent to help with tasks like running resource discovery, checking backup status, and browsing your inventory.
