Learn about Eon

If you’re new to Eon, read the Eon System Overview to learn about Eon’s platform and how it works.

Connect your sources

Connect the cloud workloads you want to protect so Eon can start discovering your resources.

Cloud workloads:

SaaS applications:

Protect your data

With your cloud workloads connected, set up how Eon organizes, backs up, and monitors your data.

1

Configure discovery

Discovery finds the resources Eon can back up. Configure discovery if you want to exclude specific resources from classification and backup.

2

Create vaults

Vaults are the secure, isolated storage destinations for your backup snapshots. Create a vault before you set up backup policies.

3

Set your backup policies

Backup policies define what to back up, how often, and which vault to store the snapshots in.

4

Enable threat detection

Ransomware detection monitors your snapshots for signs of ransomware. Assign the resources you want to monitor.

Restore your data

Restoring copies data from an Eon snapshot back to your cloud account, subscription, project, or tenant.

1

Connect restore accounts

Before you can restore, connect a restore account for the cloud service you want to restore to. Once it’s connected, you can restore to it any time.

Cloud workloads:

SaaS applications:

2

Restore

Once your restore account is connected, find the resource’s snapshot in Eon and restore it. See the Restoring Overview for instructions by resource type.

Integrate with Eon

Extend Eon’s capabilities by integrating with your existing tools.

Or use the Eon API to build your own integrations.
